David Baldwin

Born and raised in Northern California, David brings expertise in the design and delivery training arena using valid and reliable 360 assessments to the Innovative Learning Strategies team. In 1995, he came to the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) as a full time faculty member and maintained that post for 12 years. At CCL, his responsibilities included managing client relationships for customized leadership programs and interventions, managing the Emerging Leaders online research project, managing global blended learning initiatives and facilitating the Center's Foundations of Leadership and Leadership Development Programs (LDP) ®. He has enjoyed coaching, delivering and designing leadership programs in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, El Salvador, England, France, Ireland, and throughout the United States to more than 5,000 executive participants. In addition to being certified in 15 behavioral assessment instruments, David has co-written books on influence tactics, communicating vision, and leadership networking. Some of his clients include the Bank of America, CBS, Clorox, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, PepsiCo, SC Johnson, World Health Organization, Whirlpool, and Xerox.

Prior to joining CCL, David worked in the television broadcasting industry in news and production with CBS and ESPN. In addition to working for two retail organizations, he has taught university level interpersonal communication courses and conducted research at Caterpillar, Inc. examining the characteristics of Transformational Leadership - charisma, intellectual stimulation, inspiration, and individual consideration - which contributed to Ken Blanchard, Paul Hersey and Dewey Johnson's seventh edition of Management of Organizational Behavior.

In late 2007, David joined the Innovative Learning Strategies Team as an associate consultant and trainer. He has participated in off site design sessions with the ILS team in creating new products and has been an extreme asset in our processes. He is a welcome addition to our team!

David holds a Masters of Science degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Organizational Behavior from Illinois State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Television Broadcasting and Social Psychology. Currently, he is completing a PhD in Intercultural Communication. He is married to his lovely bride Lisa, involved in his church, enjoys tinkering on his house and is an Olympic memorabilia collector attending the games in Atlanta, Barcelona, Salt Lake and Sydney.
